Thì Hiện tại tiếp diễn (Present Continuous)

Cách dùng

1. Diễn tả sự việc xảy ra ngay tại thời điểm nói hoặc xung quanh thời điểm nói

Ví dụ:
– They are watching TV now.
– She is cooking with her mother.

2. Diễn tả sự việc hoặc hành động nói chung đang diễn ra nhưng không nhất thiết diễn ra ngay lúc nói

Ví dụ:
– I am finding a job.
– He is reading “Gone with the wind” this week.

Cấu trúc

S + am/are/is + V-ing	S + am/are/is not+ V-ing * am not = ‘m not * are not = aren’t * is not = isn’t	Am/Are/Is + S + V-ing? – Yes, S + am/are/is. – No, S + ‘m not/aren’t/isn’t.
– I am listening to music. – They are playing soccer.	– I am not listening to music at the moment. – My sister isn’t working now.	Are you doing your homework? – Yes, I am. Is he going out with you? – No, he isn’t.

Dấu hiệu nhận biết

Thì hiện tại tiếp diễn đi với các trạng từ: now, right now, at the moment, these days, nowadays, this week / month,…

Ví dụ:
– I am not listening to music at the moment.
– It is raining now.
– What sort of clothes are teenagers wearing nowadays?
– These days most people are using email instead of writing letters.
– Megan is going on holiday to Cornwall this month.
